Yolanda Lockett
Associate Director- Biography
Yolanda Lockett has had a progressive and successful career with a long-term focus on internal control assessment, integrated auditing, and quality assurance. During her career, she progressed from staff auditor to serve as Chief Audit Executive for several organizations in both the public and private sectors. Her most recent role was the Deputy Chief Executive for DeKalb County.
Prior to joining DeKalb County government, Yolanda spent most of her career in internal audit within various private sector organizations and government. Most recently, Yolanda was the Director of Internal Audit for the Florida Department of Management Services. Her entire career has been dedicated to the assessment of regulatory compliance, internal controls, and business process improvements. Yolanda is looking forward to recording her memoirs about the rewards and challenges of a career as an internal auditor.
Yolanda received her bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University. She is both a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Yolanda has also completed several other Financial and IT Audit certificate programs through various local and national organizations. Yolanda considers herself a non-IT auditor who has successfully performed and managed IT audits and IT audit staff.
